The results indicated that once-daily dosing and twice-daily dosing are similar in terms of safety and tolerability.

President Proposes to Cut Alzheimer Research and Care

On February 5th President Bush sent his 2008 budget proposal to Congress. Once again, the President proposes to cut federal funding for Alzheimer research and care. Under the President's proposal, funding for Alzheimer research continues a negative trend - a steady decline since 2003. The President's budget proposal also eliminates funding for key Alzheimer's care programs, including the 24/7 Contact Center, Safe Return® and the Alzheimer's State Matching Grants Program.

We should all be outraged with the behavior of all the members of the last Congress. They met for a year and couldn't (I would argue wouldn't) produce a budget! The nation's domestic needs will end this year with only last year's appropriation levels, plus a few extra bucks. In other words, they decided just to give themselves a pass on the budget this year.
